Missing INI,Macro,FIL,Registry

Postby Denis Tomasevic » Wed Feb 16, 2005 4:51 pm

Just installed and tried it - great idea, we need it!

I tried all reports and noticed, that INI, Macro,FIL and Registry reports (and database) are empty.

I use WinXP+SP1, NWClient 4.90SP2.

Denis,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for taking the time to download and try NALalyse.

I haven't seen the problem you describe before so please accept my apologies in advance if you've already try the suggestions! :

1. Do you have administrative rights to the Tree you're attempting to NALalyse?
2. During the NALalysis and subsequent import, do you receive any strange messages or warnings?
3. Have a look in the NALalyse log file (available via the Help menu) - this contains a trace of most things NALalyse does - any errors it encounters are usually shown in red.
4. Do any of the reports work - for instance, the Application attributes report?
5. Have you tried NALalysis just the one application? - do you get the same issue?

The answers to those questions will give me a starting point to identify the problem, but if you can have a look at http://johnnyfoster.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24 and, if possible, post me the NALalyse log file etc. as described in that topic that would help tremendously and from that information I should be able to identify and fix the problem.

thanks,
John

Glad you like it Sander :)

The new version is currently being finalized and it checks for even more potential problems so it'll be worth running your apps by it - if there's anything you feel it could check for that's being missed at the moment, now's the time to let me know!
